Liverpool hopes that being Capital Of Culture in 2008 will spark massive regeneration and investment in the city and it has certainly has begun. Liverpool is seeing some of the most dramtic changes any city has ever seen. The skyline has been changed forever, as far as the eye can see it is cranes and tower blocks rising next to the River Mersey.
The Liverpool ONE project is Europes biggest at present.The Grand Opening on 30th September marks the first date that the entire 42 acres of shopping and leisure will be fully open. Restaurants, bars, and many new shops and boutiques will be opening their doors for the first time on this date.
Celebrations will take place in the heart of the city to mark Liverpool ONE's massive contribution to a city in transition.

The Giant tulips and L-shaped building as you arrive in the square are a perfect symbol for the regeneration of this city, which has come alive with public art. surreal sculpture and bamboo arches seemed to burst out from every corner but the cute, chic streets in the old town are just as impressive. We visited the Markets which were excellent and the transport was very good.
