Ste Leftley, May 29th 2010
On the 25th anniversary of the Heysel Stadium tragedy, Liverpool Football Club remembers the 39 football supporters who lost their lives in the disaster.
As a mark of respect, flags at all club buildings will fly at half-mast for the duration of the day.
LFC Managing Director Christian Purslow will attend a memorial service in Turin later today and earlier this week, the Reds unveiled a plaque on the Centenary Stand in tribute to the 39.
In a moving ceremony attended by officials of both Liverpool and Juventus, former players Phil Neal and Sergio Brio unveiled the plaque, which is inscribed with the words 'In Memoria e Amicizia'.
The club will lay a wreath at the plaque today.
